It has the target of 210 in the near term, people can lookto invest at current levels...

Buy the stock for long term target of 400.... the only worry is this is a psu company which can be under pressure if the govt changes in the centre.... keep the trailing stoploss and ride the bullish trend.... a very goodvaluable stock at this price of 170....

Buy the stock for long term target of 400.... the only worry is this is a psu company which can be under pressure if the govt changes in the centre.... keep the trailing stoploss and ride the bullish trend.... a very goodvaluable stock at this price of 170.......

India\'s largest power generation company, NTPC, plans to have captive coal output of 15 mln tn by 2012, when its six coal blocks are expected to begin production. The company currently buys all the coal it needs.

With reference to the earlier announcement dated August 11, 2008, National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) has informed BSE that a Joint Venture Agreement has been signed on September 03, 2008 amongst NTPC Ltd., NHPC Ltd, Power Finance Corporation Ltd. and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. for incorporation of a Joint venture Company to set-up and operate a Power Exchange at national level. It shall be registered as a Public Limited Company....

IIFL is giving sell target of 140.00

The researcher seem to have some very strong reasons to give such a low price though he has not shared right now.

Meanwhile next tariff period for NTPC is going to be very tough as CERC has made the norms quite strict for the company

IIFL has given a target of 140 to NTPC. CERC's new regulations are not favourable for ntpc.

GVK & IL&FS are discussing the option of buying out the promoters in Niraj .. confirmed news. Stock to zoom to 790+ levels.. where IL&FS and GVK will award major projects to Niraj under the scheme while the management control will stay with the present promoters for 18 months..

GVK will eventually sell of its stake to IL&FS in 36 months at 950/ share....
