currently there are many stocks where the buyback has not generated enough enthusiam like reliance infrastructure, even being fundamentally strong.
i am still looking for more information like the holding and valuations aspects. i havent come across any research report on the godrej industies giving details about the land and other hodling companies.
nowadays u have to be very selective of the stocks u pick, although in the long run this will give the decent appreciation but still i think one should now focus on the stock with short term as rally will come and again falls will be there. for some time its better to trade in trading strong rather than taking the long term investment call.
i had good number of shae bought in the range of 315-220 and looking for 100-110 to buy some more. ...

But please remember that Board has announced buy-back programme from the stock exchange upto Rs.275/- per share. It may get through in coming days. Once company starts buy-back, there will be strength in the scrip. Already promoters and FIIs and FIs holding is quite substantial i.e.88.59%. Downside is quite limited. Sum of parts of different businesses under its fold is very sizeable and valuable. For example, it holds around 20% equity of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. and 80% of Godrej Properties Ltd. Recovery will be sharp.

the stock has broken 2 years low too. current market scenerio it could see 100 also and may be lower number.
the holding structure of the company is quite complex and one need a details analysis. i didnt have the annual report. Land bank topic is also under the carpets these days. so dont bank on the land bank value at current levels.
but as i heard there is a lot of inherent value due to the percentage holdign of various group companies. the land also i think belong to godrej boyce and development rights are given to godrej properties where it holds 80 percent stcke.
IF ANY BOARDER HAD DONE DETAILED ANALYSIS PLS GIVE THERE COMMENTS.
I am looking to add it at 100 levels, as i believe the land in mumbai will always have premium. the market once settle down in a year or more will provide reasonabe upside. but still better avoid at this moment as volumes are also low and there is no interest of FIIs in the counter.

I think in the current market conditions, this will touch 100, so exiting and entering some frontline stock is advisable. Land abnk story and all that is over

i believe the stcok will take the time. currently the markets are subdues and midcaps and stocks which has earlier factored in the prices of the real estate will not bounce back fast.
keep your patience and hold on if u r already holding. as currently also the stock is at the valuation of the 50 times price to earning so bounce from the current levels will not be possible in the near future.
Also it is upto u to decide how much risk u could take , i had bought a small amount today but from more that 3 years perspective.
i could see more low before touching the 200 levels...
