Market Analysis - Technical View

RN,
I have taken the premium money advantage and entered in to one more PUT backspread of SELLING one 4600 PE, at 277, and BUY 2*4300 at 106 ( ie 212 ) so pocketed the difference of 61 * 50, using this premium money bought one more 4500 CE at 73.
Let's see How it goes...

generally when you have a 300 points down the next day will be atleast 200 points up, but the same can not be said for this situation. because they have a FDIC friday syndrome if any bank have failure Then they will tank more.
But my gut feeling is that they will be atleast 100 point or marginally up today, I don't see chart for DOW, I only do for NIFTY or any other stocks.
we are having positive inflation, and NSG outcome today and everyone expect that also positive, let's see if we are showing any strength today!!!

yes dear Googol. SGX is pointing to 113 pts down.. Lets see how much the put gains. I do have some 4300 Puts.

Guess what??, the DOW TRIN is overbought at 0.2 when they sold off so much... THIS IS VERY VERY BULLISH... dow was bought in the sell off....I am at least 50% SURE THEY WILL RALLY TODAY..i dont want to say 100% coz i dont know why it should have fallen so much in the first place ystday... some hedge fund must have done basket selling due to european banks leaving interest rates unchanged maybe??... we will know shortly... definitely not technicals or the economic reports that came in ystday caused the fall..if anything the economic reports were not bad at all....

There is nothing wrong in giving predictions, you add the disclaimers with that. is anybody ever given corrrect predictions?
If they do also it works once in a while only, who knows the markets might bounce back from tomorrow.!!!

Yes it might bounce back tomorrow coz dow is pretty bullish let me check with today's data.. i think the employment data due today caued the sell off... are these reports leaked.. if yes they should reflect in the inidcators, but what to check when the pessimism is overdone... however if we spot accumulation in dow with ystday's close it could mean a great deal... what does ur chart say for dow?

Thanks guys for being nice to me... i have gone wrong the whole of this week, so no more predictions. Something is troubling the markets and indications are mixed and confusing. Its better to stay out of prediction games for now. LOL

Guess today could be a good day to sell some Puts.. You could sell one lot of 4400 as i believe you still have 2 lots.. Inflation though is still high, is atleast not growing as fast and looks like the NSG waiver could get thro.. So i might use the downside to buy some cheap calls..

Dear Googol,
I can put it in different way, Generally Nifty contarcts might be anywhere between 5000 to 8000 ( In the money and At the money )so as a general rule you should be losing 20 % of this amount, In our case it will be 1000 to 1600, ( i means 20 points to 26 points ), when you are setting your profits then set 100 % , ( 5000 to 8000 ).
If someone going for the premium value of less than 1000 rs , These rules will not apply , then he/she may be putting entire money as a risk.
