By looking at the history of Dow for lasts 40 years ...its the months Sept and October where the tide turns.... 8000 for Dow has been a support for 40 years.....if we go below and sustain tha level.....only god knows where it will stop........

Dow 25 TH sept 1988....finds support.... 8028.........


Dow 14Th jan....2000 tops.......11722


Dow 18 oct 2002..... again find support.... 8322


Dow feb 21 2003 .... again retests .... 8028....

Bull run starts to 14000

Dow oct 18 2007...... tops out at 14000


we are now again where we now.....

Dow has blown through 5 year support.....now 10 year support comes in @ 7500 to 8200 and it was tested couple of times back than n that`s where the bull run started to 14000...... looks like a complete 8 year cycle to me.... you can check that out on Google finance.....cheers...

Usd gained as much as dow lost how can these two b heading in different direction at same time....... if us economy is so bad one would expect usd to dive with dow...... I don`t under stand this but.... In my portfolio strong usd has wiped off some loses...now if Dow recovers and usd holds its ground it will b win win situation......

GREED IS FINE.... OVER KILL IS NOT... that way you kill the golden Murgi... lol..... As I said we will do fine.... America will do fine,,,, I think the world should learn from Canadian banking system ......That is 25 % down payment on any purchase........ n no one will never have a credit freeze..........

Short selling ban lifted today n Dow is up.....on the days short selling was banned Dow took a historic dive.... a complete opposite to one investor would think....

mkt is behaving like like buy the rumor.... sell the news.....thats what happen on bailout day.....anyways same seems to happening with this OPEC emergency meeting..... mkt is expecting production cuts to hold oil up....so oil has just started to go up a bit....but the real reason may b that euro is loosing ground against usd..... n opec is sitting on euro......

Dear pkjattking, For DOW, 7400 is the LONG TERM Support. So effectively, Dow in this range of 7400-8400 should result in DIRT Cheap prices for many stocks unless DOW would like to go for a TOSS! :) Gud luk & happy investing! :)...

I still think it would go down... but should not go below 18... which is its very lows... hopefully it should recover... will scoop some @ 20 or so......

Sir, Many are trying to paint a positive picture, hoping against hope that the markets may recover. The reason being they are heavily invested in the INDIAN equities....They are clutching on to straws. But they refuse to see the WRITING ON THE WALL which is as clear as BISLERI water, THE WORLD IS HEADED FOR A RECESSION, A recession caused by EXCESS GREED, greed which had made the investors blind to the actual valuations of the businesses they were investing in, the greed of the investment bankers and other to make a killing by investing others people s money in exotic derivatives, a synonym for WMD, the greed of the Indian corporates like REL COMM to rake in money so as to up stage his KIN, The reason for the muck that we are all in is PLAIN GREED. . The MUCK is not going to disappear just by hoping it will and trying to paint rosy pictures when all that is are DARK CLOUDS that are visible. We all have to suffer for the consequences resulting from EXCESS GREED that we displayed over the years. . This GREED results from our own deficiencies like LOW SELF ESTEEM and INFERIORITY COMPLEX, JEALOUSY. When we see that our neighbour has a car with 100 horse power engine, we feel INFERIOR to him, we want to buy a car with atleast 101 HORSE power. When we see someone sipping a Budweiser, we feel jealous coz we can only afford to have a kingfisher. These material wants resulting from complexes are the main fodder for the GREED. Why cant we all learn to be satisfied with what we have!!??? WE ALWAYS WANT MORE THAN WHAT OUR NEIGBOUR HAS....WHY??? Once we learn to control our GREED and learn to BE HAPPY WIH WHAT WE HAVE, we will become immune to such bleak times. ITS TIME TO INTROSPECT!!! ...SINGH... ...

I have heard a rumour that within few months, Dollar will no LONGER be a currency due to the heavy DEBTS. There is a rumour again that Dollar will finally get replaced with AMERO within few months so that all those americans can start hteir LIFE FRESH! Those are just BS rumours as of now! I also heard that China has received huge consignement of that new currency already to compensate for the huge reserves that China has. China has allowed SHORT SELLing their market as they expect further fall soon! :) All are BS rumours as of now! Noone know for sure! Gud luk & happy investing!...
