Market sees a positive nuke explosion. Markets to surge on NSG approval, positive global cues and expected to open with more then 500 points up. A good rally is expected in many stocks .

Asian markets rally; Nikkei gains 438pts.

The Hang Seng has surged 794 points to 20,727. The Nikkei has rallied 438 points to 12,650.

The Taiwan Weighted index has soared 333 points to 6,641. The Straits Times index has gained 92 points at 2,666, and the Seoul Composite index has added 62 points to 1,467.

The Shanghai Composite index, however, is flat at 2,200.

Indian market will shine and will open more then 500 points but selling pressure will bring it to slide again.

There is an over all change in the intermediate direction in the market. Clearly the Bear market has come to its knees and it cannot go further. The market bottom has got established and the past 2 months has seen a great consolidation and therefore any attempt to shortsell without getting fresh Bear signals will put the short seller in the trap.

The previous Friday weakness should not be read much into for there are weak bulls and strong bears that get extracted in the course of a new directional

By and large the market will and must have to be range bound. Weakness in the Nifty must be used as great entry opportunities as charts suggest that the bears will be made to be in a limbo.

What\\`s your take for Monday 10/09/2008 ?
There is a lot of talk, may be loose, on a gap up of 50,100 and even 200 points.
By your strategy we should +/- 30 to the 5th. C of 4366 and see if higher Bullish and if lower Bearish.
Cheers!!!

my god your dad has a personal portfolio worth 10 crores... some companies dont even have a turnover of 10 crores...great simply great... .you are very rich isnt it then? He must be earning at least 3L per month as income from his portfolio then? WOW... if my dad had 10 crore worth portfolio i would have talked about it... why you are so quiet about ur dad's credentials... and that too when he has built his portfolio from scratch? Could u tell me how old he is now, what age he began investing, which were his first investments, etc etc... could u also give me his views on today's generations, their style, attitude, our education...which political party he supports? Is he bossy or subdued... does ur mom have upperhand or he is the boss... or he is reasonable... just curious.. if a man has built a portfolio worth 10 crores from scratch, i have to understand hsi mindset... hope its not too personal?...

Hey radhika.....I will answer ur queries one by one.....

how ofen does he shuffle his portfolio??????

Normally he won't shun the portfolio too often.....But before choosing a company he will analyse the same in all angles.....Very few of his recommendations had gone wrong......but it got offset by heavy profits in other counters.....

What are the sectors he concentrates on????????

He is not very particular with a specific sector.....But each and every sector he goes for the fundamentally strong company

its his own NETWORTH of 10 crore or is it his private company's networth??????

It's his own networth derived mostly from his own efforts....

Does he watch CNBC, NDTV Profits.. does he read the pink paper , economic times, business standard... does he watch the market everyday???????????

Yeah.....Unlike me he does everything what u have mentioned.....I mean I am poor in reading whereas he mostly go with the capital market which he had subscribed for one year or so....

what does he say about warren??????

I have not heard him saying much about warren buffett.....may be due to the reason that he himself is a junior warren buffettt...Ha..Ha..Ha

Why then ur sis asked me for trading techniques when ur father is such a guru himself??????

The reason is my father like me won't go much with the technicals whereas I told my sister that u are strong in technicals.....The reason according to me my father won't go with the technicals might be he believes more in fundamental than the technicals.........Regards

nightowl,

I went long becoz when i added 20 points to the nifty (on the up side) it showed very bullish momentum... i knew this momentum will take some time to get douzed....thats the logic based on which i went long... everyday you add a flat close say 5 points to the nifty and continue to ncrease by 10 points and see if it gets bullish with minimal up points or down points, that way you can know if momentum is on the upside or downside.. small tricks which shoudl be right at least 50% of the times?...

YOU HAVE NOT GONE WRONG... you have maintained that there have been mixed signals.. somthing incomprehensible was happening.. i maintain that too... signals HAVE been very mixed.. and confusing too.. somthing wrong somewhere.. or rather somthing ,i, am unable to understand for the moment.. at the moment the only way to trade is being stock specific.. money is there.. but in the right stocks... all the really REALLY beaten down sectors are likely to give a 20% return.. try that as well... reliance power, jyothi streuctures, axis bank., mrpl..

We will have a gap down opening today on account of weak cues from US and Asian market. Support for Nifty is 4350-4380, while resistance is 4500-4550.
