Aptech Limited has informed the Exchange that "The Register of Companies (ROC), Mumbai, Maharashtra, vide their letter of even date i.e. 12th August 2008, has granted further extension uptil 27th December 2008 to hold the next Annual General Meeting of the Company. Owing to the impending restructuring of Aptechs holding in the Chinese Joint Venture, consequent to the Framework Agreement between parties, which yet to be followed up by the execution of Definitive agreements, the process of completion of the statutory audit of the Chinese Joint Venture Companys accounts for the year ended 31st December 2007 i.e. Beijing Aptech Beida Jadebird Information Technology Company Limited, will entail additional time. On account of the continued existence of the above reason, the Company had filed a further application with the Register of Companies, under Section 166 (1) of the Companies Act 1956, seeking further extension of three months for holding the next Annual General Meeting (AGM) in 2008, for adoption of accounts for the year ended 31st December, 2007 and accordingly, the Company has been granted the aforementioned approval to hold the next AGM on or before 27th December 2008"....
