but having gone so much advance on the project,govt should have done something more for the farmers
what the poor farmers are going to get is just a job n some peanut as compensation which could be increased afterall industrialists draw more out of it

however in the long run it looks better n can touch 55-60 by dec end
its a operators stock basically n will always giv a chance to recover
in view of increasing traffic n net profit of 50%,it seems to be a good stock for long term...

buy TATA METALICS,a good and stable stock with good dividend yield
it may touch 160 by dec,2008 on conservative estimates
low capital base so EPS is good
its a safe stock...

300567,uco bank is not at all a handsome stock but strtegic position can be taken in view of follow up issue in dec quarter n if restructuring of capital is approved by the govt
capital of uco is very high so less div n likewise EPS also is low but the bank plans to sell FPO@60/-SHARE so the price may touch that level or even beyond by dec,2008...

Gaba jee, What you are saying is right , but we cannot also ignore the fact that development has to go on & land is reqd for urbanization . As such the state or central agencies have to have a proper system on land management. Right now govt is acquiring land , without putting any thought , on the type of land to be aquired. The land aquization officials are doing a mathematical job, rather than giving a thought into the type of land to be aquired for given purpose. The 2nd most important problem is ' Why should Govt aquire land for private enterprise. Its a free economy, the private should aquire land directly from who's so ever land belongs to, me or u or any one else. Simple as that. We have out dated archic laws, from british times which govern the aquization of land by the govt, which are just not in tune with time. State govts are literraly grabbing land under the cover of that archic section. THIS IS WHAT IS TERMED AS ' ROBBING PAUL TO PAY PETER'/ When so much anomlies/ faults are in the land aquization law,SO THE HEART burning , protests & suicides , & then the ugly politicians step in to make matters worse, & every thing comes to stand still , & everyone is a loser xcept the dirty politicians, who has no interest in anything xcept himself. In singur case tata should have acted more 'GENTLEMANLY', rather than a mere shopkeper, asking CM of WB to fight for him. If he would have wanted , he could have easily solved the matter with the farmers directly, & not black mailed the entire nation. Jagdish, I agree with you, A point is.... In India, poor is getting more poor & rich is more richer. Of late, People are rushing to buy property with mad craze for purely investment purpose. Whether its corporate or individual, there is a mad rush to buy land these days. Farmers who used to plough their field with 2 bulls, working hard to produce food grain, when they find their land getting never heard high price, they are selling their farm land, buying flats/houses in urban areas, moving to bigger cities & give up farming..... buying 3G phones & driving Scorpio's/Innova's & enjoying their life & they are making their life urban. There is drastic reduction in irrigated land in the country in the last 2-3 years time. Govt has to bring some serious regulations to check the so called Realty Boom. This boom will certainly become doom for everyone over long term if not checked. GM (Genetically Modified) food is going to be a reality very soon, though there is lot of opposition by various groups in world. But GM food will only be answer to control food shortage & price rise due to lower production. Like whole world switched to Hybrid crops in 70's. Cheers!!! WBuffetBlog...
