The following are considered as strict DON'Ts on the messageboard:
1) Personal attacks - name calling, insulting, etc - on other boarders
2) Insensitive references to any race, sex, religion, caste or linguistic community
3) Statements that are deliberately made to evoke outrage
4) Verbal violence or threats
5) Offensive or abusive language
6) Blatant and mischievous misrepresentation of facts
7) Spamming - obsessive repetitiveness
8) Malafide insinuations related to the integrity, probity and judgment of the MMB Team
9) All caps messages are considered SHOUTING on the Internet.
10) Messages with commercial content will not be permitted - Moneycontrol is a media vehicle paid fo
r by advertisers
11) We discourage the exchange of phone numbers; email address, Internet groups on the MMB.
All the above transgressions will be subject solely to the judgment of the MMB Moderator. Depending
on the nature and severity of the transgression committed (as per the judgment of the MMB Moderator)
, the MMB Moderator reserves the right to invoke any/all of the following sanctions:
1) Deleting the offending message
2) Revoking the auto-publishing rights of a boarder
3) Banning a boarder name or IP address from participation on the boards
4) Administering a three-level warning system - grey flag (for first or mild offence), black flag (f
or second or worse offence) and red flag (for third or severe offence). A boarder's flag (grey/black
or red) will remain in force for a period of 1 month or 200 messages from the boarder, whichever is
earlier. Black/Red flagged boarders will not feature on the MMB homepage prolific boarders list dur
ing the period of the flag.
Needless to state, the decision of the MMB Moderator will be final and binding on all boarders who p
articipate on the messageboard. The MMB also reserves the right to modify the Code of Conduct at any
time as it sees fit. |
