if i buy a straddle tomorrow what are the risks and what can be the max profit.also how much will i need to deploy fr one straddle of 3700 or 3600

Step 1: Instal a dartboard

Apes have done better using dartboards than 79% analysts in the past :-) ANd they NEVER needed to commit suicide :-) Better become an APE, or an expert! So you deal only with "throwing darts" and, if an expert, "charging for it" :-) Better than throwing ones money behind the dart :-)

Sir,

Nifty 3300 looks likely. If somehow It breaches 3000 and touches 2600-2700, I am 80% confident the rebounce will be equally fierce with non stop flight to 5000 by current FY end.
Theory of probability seems to dictate index can not behave abnormally for a period of more than 6 months and Nifty 4200-4250 is inevitable in 6-8 months.

At the current market scenario, if you want to take a position and not intraday trading, then I believe stradle position is the best i.e. buying the Nifty PUT and CALL for the same strike price. Currently 4100 straddle is the best option unless market opens with a huge gap up, which I doubt it would.

And once your position gets into decent profit, square off both the PUT and CALL and shift the straddle closer to the Nifty value. Say after you buy the 4100 straddle and Nifty moves up above 4300 and your straddle gets into a decent profit, square off the entire straddle and take position into 4300 straddle. Hope it is clear to you.
